Setting Up A Dorm Room

If your baby is now all grown up and headed off to college there are many things you will need to get before you drop them off on campus. Whether they are living in the dorms or renting an apartment, there are many things that they will need to make their new digs feel comfortable and like home. Here is a quick rundown of just a few things they will need:

Towels and Bath Accessories – While they may be sharing a bathroom, they will need a towel, hairdryer and other bathroom related items. If they are living in an apartment you might as well add bath mats and hand towels. You might want to find a nice shower curtain as well.

Bedroom Items – While most dorms supply the beds, you will need to bring your own sheets, comforter and pillows. You may even need your own insulated curtains if the college is in a cold weather climate. Don’t forget a full length mirror and some throw pillows to dress up the bedroom.

Fridge – Most dorms do not supply a fridge so you may want to invest in a mini fridge. These small fridges let your kids keep a few items cold for snacking or drinking.

Heading off to college is a big deal so make sure your child is ready and has all the supplies they need.
